I'm a tea drinking, classical piano playing, photography loving, gal from New Orleans. I love my adopted hometown of Brooklyn, especially the street art and unique local shops and culinary delights. Made in Brooklyn rules.
If I had to pick another city I'd love to live in, it would be Berlin. I was lucky enough to get to live there twice and I am forever craving German rolls! (And yes, good beer) The classical architecture and the punk rock spirit of the city really suited me. If it weren't for my husband, I might have never left! And yes, my German is damm near fluent.
I started photographing in high school and eventually worked as a photojournalist at a small paper in Southern Louisiana. Then a Fulbright grant took me to Berlin for a second time, and later, Hurricane Katrina sent me to New York to work for a National Geographic photographer, Ira Block. I'd always wanted to attend graduate school at The School of Visual Arts and finally got my masters in digital photography in 2008. Whew!
After that I fell hardcore in love with photographing weddings and truly believe I have found my calling. Somehow I keep finding the most amazing clients. Perhaps you will be one?
