A cart full of wood makes its way up the hill to await dusk.
A girl awaits the dark along side a large wooden broom stick.

The source fire for the broom carriers is lit.
The broom carriers descend the hill into Liestal where throngs of people await their arrival.

The bigger the flame, the larger the cheer from the crowd.

Embers fly everywhere and often land on people in the crowd.
Some of the flames are so big and hot, one almost has to turn away when the cart passes.

After descending the hill through the city, brooms and carts are extinguished.
