Couple kissing at Bethesda Terrace after marrying

A couple kisses at the Bethesda Terrace in beautiful morning light as a bubble bursts following their elopement at Wagner Cove in New York's Central Park. Considered the heart of the park designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, the grand terrace and fountain overlook the Lake where boaters and ducks often cruise by. The park was officially opened in 1873 sixteen years after its designers had won the competition to create it. Today it is the most visited urban park in the United States and a popular location for wedding, elopement and engagement photo shoots. In this photo, the bride wore a peach tea length gown and the groom a blue suit. The couple made their own bouquet with peach and cream roses. Around the terrace there are usually bubble guys or vendors willing to make giant bubbles for tourists and visitors to delight and impress them. They are happy to make bubbles for wedding couples for tips. It can take several tries to get a nice large bubble to photograph the couple through. Here, I liked the look of the bubble just after bursting backlit by the early morning sun. It makes for a nice effect in the picture, and reflects the excitement and joy the couple were literally "bursting" with all day!
