Liberty State Park Engagement Session

Liberty State Park Engagement Session in Summer

Since I moved to New Jersey, I’ve been looking for more great NJ locations to photograph. This Liberty State Park engagement session is an excellent example! Of course this spot features lots of New York in it. (The best views of Manhattan are naturally from outside of it!) It also offers a park setting with tall grasses and tree lined walkways. In addition, there is an old railway station with box cars, the 9/11 Memorial Empty Sky, and some of the best views of the Statue of Liberty.

Special thanks to this brave couple who endured the super hot temperatures for their engagement session. I think it was well worth it!

Liberty State Park is a 1,212 acre urban park in Northern New Jersey. It is situated located on Upper New York Bay in Jersey City, opposite both Liberty Island and Ellis Island. No permits required for engagement or wedding photography. I would suggest checking in the park’s website before scheduling a session. Also check Wikipedia, as various events are scheduled throughout the year. However, the park is quite large so many events will not impede a session.
