Modern Pink Wedding at The Foundry in Long Island City
This modern pink wedding at The Foundry in Long Island City has me thinking of Spring! Since it is just around the corner, hopefully, I figured I’d share this inspiration shoot with you. Ruffled organized this styled shoot a few months back with a bunch of incredible vendors. However it was a mad dash to photograph all of the 3 gorgeous set-ups they had created. (the other one I photographed was published on 100 Layer Cake here) Nevertheless, I love a challenge!
The muted tones of this classic, but fabulously modern pink wedding inspiration, really caught my eye. Of course, Designs by Ahn did an amazing job erecting a wired sculpture to the balcony level of the venue and filled it with pastel flowers falling down to the table scape. The venue is really industrial so the contrast with the soft, pretty flowers, and flowing table cloth is visually exciting.
The bride wore a long sequin gown with a beautiful silhouette and open back. The groom, a chic plaid tux! I photographed them in the venue and outside in the spacious courtyard with views of the Queensboro Bridge. A venue like that really give you a sense of place, and I love using iconic NYC landmarks in my portraits.
In addition, I especially loved photographing the food by Dish Food & Events! The styling was excellent, wish I had a chance to try it all!
