St. Mary’s Church and Old Ursuline Convent Wedding: Christy + Dennis

I love French Quarter weddings and this one is full of New Orleans charm and beautiful New Orleanians. Christy and Dennis found the perfect setting between the beautiful Soniat House for getting ready, St. Mary’s, across the street, and the Old Ursuline Convent for the reception right next door. It made logistics, even on a rainy day, so easy! It should also be noted, Christy and Dennis’ reception, which was held in a tent in the courtyard, was the first wedding reception at the Old Ursuline Convent. Which is interesting, since the convent has been there since 1745, making it one of the oldest building in New Orleans! Drago’s was on hand charbroiling oysters and painter Alex Harvie turned the scene in to a unique colorful painting for the couple – two of my favorite New Orleans wedding trends as of late.
